On Wednesday, October 15, senior students from Deseronto Public School will have the opportunity to gain firsthand insight into the workings of our local municipal government.
As part of this educational experience, students will tour the Recreation Centre to learn about the day-to-day operations that support community programs and events. They will also visit the Public Works building, where they will explore the equipment and infrastructure that help keep our town safe, functional, and beautiful.
The day will conclude with a visit to Town Hall, where students will engage with municipal staff and learn about various career opportunities in local government—opening their eyes to potential future paths they may not have previously considered.
As part of the learning experience, students will be answering incoming phone calls at Town Hall between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. We kindly ask for your patience and understanding during this time, and encourage everyone to extend grace and encouragement to our future leaders.
